Activities: 

The PURA Act [4] establishes PURA as a multi sector regulator and the government trhough the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs may bring any sector under PURA's mandate.

The sectors currently approved for regulation by PURA according to the schedule to the Act include

  • Telecommunications and broadcasting
  • Electricity
  • Water and Sewerage
  • Transport
  • Such other public utilities as the Secretary of State, in consultation with the appropriate Secretary of State, may prescribe by an Order published in the Gazette.
